Planned Parenthood Sues Stanton Healthcare in Idaho

MERIDIAN, Idaho, December 7, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) – Planned Parenthood is suing Stanton Healthcare, a life-affirming women’s medical clinic, for parking its mobile unit on Stanton’s own property next to the abortion center. In an exclusive interview with LifeSiteNews, Stanton Founder and CEO Brandi Swindell explained how this reveals Planned Parenthood’s true agenda of restricting women’s choices and promoting abortion.

“It’s one thing for us to watch Planned Parenthood participate in abortion,” said Swindell, a warm, energetic woman. “And then it’s one thing for it to go to the next level where they then force us to participate in it by taking our tax dollars to underwrite Planned Parenthood’s work. … That’s horrible.”

This lawsuit means “it goes to a whole other level, when they are now trying to prevent us from doing good,” said Swindell. “It’s a very serious lawsuit...people of faith [and] people of goodwill need to wake up to and say, ‘does Planned Parenthood really think they have the authority to bully us and prevent us from doing good?’ It’s a despicable thing.”

From the article Here’s How Pro-Lifers Can Prove They Aren’t Merely ‘Pro-Birth’:

Fortunately, one woman in Boise, Idaho, Brandi Swindell, has changed the way many women in her area receive gynecological health care, blazing the trail toward making Planned Parenthood obsolete. Her health-care organization, Stanton Healthcare, is model of how pro-life conservatives can create positive change in a community by providing women with a viable alternative to seeking prenatal care at an organization that financially profits from pregnancy termination. It provides nearly all of the services that Planned Parenthood offers, and some that it doesn’t. Patients are offered ultrasound, pregnancy confirmation, uterine and ovarian diagnostics, sexually-transmitted-disease and infection testing and treatment, prenatal care and postnatal follow-up, and occasional mammography in a clean facility with skilled practitioners — a far cry from the situation at many Planned Parenthood locations.

Stanton Mobile Launches in Meridian

Now that the two lots on either side of Planned Parenthood's abortion clinic are completely debt-free (thanks to Stanton's wonderful donors and supporters near and far!), we have launched the regular outreach of Stanton Mobile at the Meridian location.

Our welcoming, professional mobile clinic will be stationed just across the parking lot from Planned Parenthood to offer women in crisis a caring, life-affirming alternative to the "services" of Planned Parenthood.

Another Ultrasound Machine Delivered

Continuing the fruitful partnership between the Knights of Columbus and Stanton Healthcare, Stanton Healthcare of Southern California has announced the purchase of a new portable ultrasound machine for use in the Stanton Mobile.

The purchase of this machine was made possible by local and national support from the Knights of Columbus, the Diocese of San Bernardino, and numerous individuals and churches throughout the High Desert region of Southern California.  Thanks to the Ultrasound Initiative program, every local donation made to the ultrasound fund was matched by the Knights of Columbus Supreme Council.   To date, the Knights have placed more than 600 ultrasound machines in pregnancy centers and clinics nationwide.

Stanton Healthcare is proud to partner with the Knights of Columbus as we provide women with compassionate, professional medical care.  Thank you, Knights!

Stanton Charlotte Cuts the Purple Ribbon

On October 29, Stanton Healthcare of Charlotte in North Carolina marked the grand opening of the new life-affirming pregnancy center on Latrobe Drive by welcoming friends and supporters to a ribbon cutting ceremony.  Located just down the street from a large abortion facility, Stanton Charlotte is poised to offer help and hope to many women and their families.  As the fourth Stanton Healthcare affiliate worldwide, the Charlotte organization is in the vanguard of the life-affirming women's healthcare movement.

Months earlier, Stanton Charlotte had already made an impact upon more than one local family. In the middle of unpacking boxes and hanging pictures, center volunteers were called upon to counsel two young women facing unexpected pregnancies. One of the mothers, Neka, was being pressured to abort her second child. Thank to the efforts of Stanton staff, Neka was empowered to choose life for her child and eventually married her then-boyfriend.   On the evening of the ribbon-cutting, Neka and her husband arrived with ultrasound photo in hand to share in the joy of Stanton Charlotte's official opening.

Also present at the ceremony were local representatives of the Knights of Columbus.  Stanton Charlotte is currently in the midst of a campaign to secure an ultrasound machine through the Knights of Columbus Ultrasound Initiative, a national program which has resulted in over 600 ultrasound machines placed in pregnancy help centers.  Adding ultrasound to the center's existing services will greatly expand the impact of Stanton Charlotte.

Among the advisory team assembled by Charlotte's Executive Director Brice Griffin, a notable name appears.  Dr. Matt Harrison, a local physician, has gained recognition for his development of the Abortion Pill Reversal Kit which is being used nationally to reverse the effects of chemical abortions.  He is also the medical director on staff for Stanton Charlotte, representing the commitment of the life-affirming medical community to the vision of Stanton Healthcare.

The Stanton Charlotte center is currently staffed by trained volunteers, several with past abortion experience. Young mothers and empty nesters alike are now on staff, undergoing extensive training in order to provide compassionate support to clients in crisis.

"I count it an honor to celebrate the opening of Stanton Charlotte, one of the first life-affirming Stanton Healthcare affiliates worldwide," said Danielle Versluys, Director of Stanton Healthcare's Affiliate Program.  "The incredible efforts of Brice Griffin and her team in Charlotte is representative of the larger Stanton Healthcare family - working together to fulfill our vision for the empowerment of women and betterment of families."
